ACTIVITES AT LAUGHING RAVEN RESORT & THE LOCAL AREA

Laughing Raven Resort is a place that offers a getaway from the everyday. Your place, where you choose how you spend your day. At Laughing Raven you can either sit on your porch, sip a hot drink and watch the world wake up or be off first thing in the morning exploring the trails, enjoying the water or partaking in the activities at the Resort and beyond. Regardless of how you choose to spend your vacation, there is lots to do and at the end of everyday you can go to sleep having enjoyed a campfire, listened to the songs of loons echoing off the hills or gazed in wonder at a million stars in our dark skies.

Laughing Raven Resort offers numerous games and activities for all ages including Badminton, Horseshoes, Beach Volleyball, Disc Golf, Canoe and Stand-Up-Paddleboard Rentals and several Water-based activities opportunities. For your enjoyment we also have extensive hiking and biking trails in beautiful wilderness settings both on and beyond the Resort property which allows for wildlife viewing, bird watching, wildlife photography, wilderness exploration and outdoor exercise at whatever level you choose. There are numerous indoor activities including Table Tennis, Foos Ball and various other games and activities. Furthermore, you can basecamp at our resort while enjoying immediate access to single day or multi-day bike-packing routes along the vast web of backcountry dirt roads and trails.

The Cariboo Regional District in which the Resort is located boasts a diversity of wildlife including many fish, bird, reptile/amphibian and mammal species, many of which can be observed here at Laughing Raven Resort. Some of our favorite wildlife characters include Whitetail and Mule Deer, Moose, Trout, Loons, Pike Minnows, Salamanders, Frogs, Beavers, Muskrats, Mink, Otters, Yellow Bellied Marmot, Bald Eagles, Grebes, American Kestrels, Sandhill Cranes, and of course, the “Laughing” Raven!

Further beyond the Resort’s boundaries but still within a short drive, there are many world-class fishing lakes, larger lakes for motorized boats with boat launches, ATV trails, horseback riding excursions and various shops, stores and Saturday morning Markets for supplies and souvenirs.
